
Shaana Roy-Easter joined the ‘In The Upper Room Ministries’ family in the late 1990s. As a co-host of Sister Neal’s Youth Perspective segment, she had the opportunity to meet and interview many of Wilmington’s social and political icons.
Over the years, Shaana’s responsibilities have grown to include shooting and editing stories for the program (under the tutelage of Anthony Carter!).
Shaana has a B.A. in Communication with a minor in French from the University of Delaware. With the support of ‘In the Upper Room Ministries’, she was able to participate in two study abroad programs in Martinique and Paris.
Shaana is an avid supporter of All Kids Can Learn, Inc., a very special organization dedicated to providing care and spiritual development for AIDS orphans in Zambia, Africa. Additionally, she spent three years touring and competing with Apex Winter Guard, a world-class performance ensemble based in Newark, DE.
In her spare time, Shaana enjoys traveling, pilates, reading, watching movies, theatre, and listening to old Celine Dion songs to keep up with her French.
Shaana recently moved to Philadelphia and lives with her husband, Jeff, and their cat Crazy.
Michael J. Riley joined the ‘In The Upper Room Ministries’ family first as a guest in late 2007. After several guest appearances on the program, hosts Anthony and Terri Carter invited him to join the team as a co-host.
Michael’s role has recently been expanded to include co-production and other organizational responsibilities.
With a strong background in sales, advertising and public relations, Michael’s focus is on positioning “In the Upper Room” to effectively utilize its platform as a voice for the people on live leased access television to better serve its viewers and the community at large.
Michael is a graduate of the Art Institute of Philadelphia. He is a frequent participant in local and regional art exhibits. His work has appeared in several publications including medical textbooks, periodicals, as well as local, regional and national magazines.
Michael is passionate about community service and has served as a creative consultant to many churches, educational organizations, civic groups and other non-profits.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys traveling, basketball, reading, watching movies, fishing, listening to music and spending time with friends and family.
Michael resides in Wilmington, Delaware and has a lovely daughter, Keera.
